I want to make a bent tube intersect with a slit in a plane that is extruded 0.16. How do I make the tube a rigid solid?
Solids in Rhino are closed surfaces. You can use the Pipe command with options Thick=Yes and Cap=
Flat to create a tube with thickness which will be a closed surface and thus a solid. You will need to start with a line or curve which represents the centerline of the tube.
What do you mean by “rigid”?
ok, will try, thanks; rigid meant solid so that the surface of the pipe does not get immersed into the plate, that they both act as solid physical objects
