Solid extrude surface straight to solid separate part

Hi!

Solid extrude surface straight acts weird.
I have bounding box and want to extrude new solid block from the bounding box surface.

I had option “solid” on. So this means I can’t make new solid block from that surface?
This is “solid” off,

Now it is separate “block”. But then I have to cap it.

My opinion is that there should be options “solid” and also “join”.
“Solid on/off” option means it makes it solid or not
“Join on/off” option makes it to join to the original surface or not.

Maybe there is some trick I don’t know

I use Rhino 7.

If you set DeleteInput=No the new volume will be separate from the original, if that’s what you mean
