I recently discovered Snapshots and it’s great, however I’m discovering some limitations in real world usage for drawing layouts, and I’m not sure if it’s intentional or I’m using it wrong.
So usually on a layout, I have to show Front, Side & Top views, along with an isometric and an exploded isometric. Currently, I have to copy the model and explode it, therefore having 2 ‘models’ in the model space. With snapshots, it seemed like it makes it plausible to only have 1 version of the model and then use snapshot to explode it. However, in the layout, I can’t figure out how to make the snapshot only apply to the exploded detail view.
Am I doing something incorrectly? Is there a workaround?
