Dear all,

I’m sure I’m missing something obvious, but I cannot snap to an object (either edge or node or anything) when I want to move an object to another position.

 ![label -1](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/mcneel/uploads/default/original/4X/c/a/9/ca913e43dc397450921841c8e9d257a1b4cec008.png)

In the example above I want to snap to the point within the red circle and drag the object onto a point of another object, but it fails to snap although the settings should be correct.

Any help would be very appreciated.
best greetings
Cyana

you need to use the osnap toolbar and turn on the end snap.
shift + click on the icons in the toolbar to get a one-shot Object snap.
or type
\_EndSnap

if you miss this - reset the window layout to default.

I strongly recommand to use the english interface of rhino - i am a native german speaker.
here is how to (still the same workflow for rh8)

Hi Tom,

thanks a lot for your advice - showing the panel and ticking the check boxes did the trick.
