The change layer command prompts a popup window that is usually active.
Lately, it will deactivate a few seconds after being prompted, which makes it necessary to use pen or mouse rather than keyboard to choose a layer or create a new one.
Opening Rhino through dialog box, first thing that comes up is a popup asking if I want to save changes for a document that wasn’t even opened. This was not always like that.
Any fix?
Hi @pascal, I hadn’t seen this much recently in 7, but it is now happening every time at least since the latest SRC (7.2.21005.13001, 05/01/2021) - if, and only if, I have the Maxwell plugins enabled. If I don’t then it doesn’t happen. (Caveat: my small sample size would trouble a statistician.)
I’m in the Windows change camp, but if people are experiencing the problem then a quick test disabling not-shipped-with-Rhino plugins could be worth trying and help to pin it down.
Hi Jeremy - yeah it is perfectly possible that a plug-in can modify a document. We now have a diagnostic tool we’re just testing here that should allow us to point fingers - for example, the auto-points on setting will currently, incorrectly, trigger a document-changed if you just select a curve (fixed, here).
