Slow responsiveness WIP vs V8

Let me start by saying I’m not using the optimal computer to test this with but I’m trying out WIP on an old surface pro and notice a major difference in responsiveness between V8 vs WIP when it comes to going through submenus or changing tabs. Not sure if this is to be expected but this might prevent me from using WIP actively.

PS I like the fresh-looking icons.

This is unexpected. It should be the same speed. I’ll take a look into this tomorrow, thanks for reporting!

I can’t seem to replicate this speed difference when using Rhino, it’s almost instant for me. I’m not sure why it’d be any slower for you not me. There’s some stuff that will get pushed in the coming months though that might fix this for you. I’ll try to remember to poke this thread when that’s the case so you can try.

Thanks for looking at this. It could just be related to the age of this computer? Can you run a lot of heavy stuff in the background to recreate a struggling computer?

I’l check at work with my other laptop as well.

If there’s still a noticeable difference I’ll see if I can get someone internally to replicate it

FWIW, I could also not replicate this issue. All the flyouts appear instantly here.

Thanks for checking @Gijs !
