I have a drawing with a couple detail views of the model shown in the Rendered display setting. Printing is impossibly slow with Rendered view. However I can capture a rendered view instantly and print it. What can I adjust to speed up printing of drawings with Rendered detail views? Thank you.
Just appending to this thread. I’m noticing that working with drawings (5 sheet tabs, 2~3 details per sheet) is becoming problematic. Some of the details are section views of the model. Overall, in layout view panning and zooming are slow, and even copying or editing a piece of text in layout view is slow. I turned off rendering, shadows, and all the goodies I was hoping to sweeten the drawing with. It’s as if this fairly simple model and drawing is coming to a halt under its own weight. Not sure what else to turn off to improve drafting performance.
Also, do you have shadows on, or using Ambient occlusion as a lighting method? Print speed was severely impacted (to an unusable point) to get rid of the tiling that was seen when printing with shadows. Currently if I need to plot a sheet the only work around is to plot to native PDF (which prints quickly), then send the PDF to the plotter to print (although it still is not super fast as the PDFs from Rhino’s native PDF printer are massive).
