Turning off Maxwell 5 in Rhino 7 does solve the issue. Opening an existing file is a two-step process though. First it will open the file successfully then it will go out and try to find the textures but the path (s) aren’t correct, so it’s double the time to open. This doesn’t happen in v5. I haven’t been able to point to the correct texture folder. Let me know where I can do that in options.
So even though the textures aren’t found when opening I can raytrace the viewport and render with cycles correctly.
Turning Maxwell back on and moved some objects around I get the spinning wheel non-response so looks like Maxwell is the issue.
I wouldn’t mind ditching Maxwell but I do have quite a few custom textures built. Can Kyle do a Maxwell to Cycles tutorial?
