Totally agree.
Copy / paste is extremely slow even for just a line or simple geometry.
Something is wrong!

what is you _SystemInfo
Does it happen in any file?
Does it happen if you Close Rhino, open Rhino and open the file in a ‘fresh’ Rhino?
Can you send a file that shows the slowness. How slow?

It’s a problem often.
Often resorting Rhino helps. I have to restart several times a day.
Will try to find a file for you. Do you have a private mail I can send to?
hi @mortenengel we’ve fixed a bug that made Rhino slow after opening many documents, which could be the same as what you are getting. This is fixed in current 8.9 service release candidate.

This is still an issue.
Copy and paste is extremely slow.
Sometimes undo won’t work.
File size becomes bloated.
I can’t send you a file on the link as the file is over 2GB for no good reason.

Possibly an issue with Time Capsule backups which puts Rhino to a grinding stop.
Same problem here. In a new file it doesn’t happen. Only after the file size increases.

Hi Wim,
I’ve noticed my material library was polluted by unused materials in the library after an import. After purging unused materials the performance came back and could copy paste again with speed.

I just shared the file.
Same issue but got worse in latest Rhino as diddabling the Adobe substance importer plug-in does no longer have a positive effect.
Has this been investigated?

Looking forward to this update.
Just posting a video here of me copying a simple element.
40 seconds.
Screen recording does not show the spinning ball.
But it’s from the video start and until the object becomes deselected.
Can’t wait for this to be fixed.
