# Slotted hole / long hole

Hi Rhino Forum

Sorry for the simple question.  
what is the easiest way to make a slotted hole?  
I always solve it with complicated workarounds.  
solid works has its own tool for this and it’s done in seconds. does rhino do the same?

Please try the command [Rectangle](https://docs.mcneel.com/rhino/8/help/en-us/commands/rectangle.htm) with Round option. Fyi,

Or offset a line both sides with round caps…
