Slide object along a 3d axis

In Rhino8 I have oriented an object to a 3d axis/line. However, the gumball does not allow me to slide the object along the axis. How do I set the XYZ of the object to that of the axis?

Check out CPlanes in the Rhino Help. Set a CPlane perpendicular to the axis curve, set your gumball to ā€˜Align to CPlane’, make your transformation, then replace the original CPlane (normally ā€˜World Top’ for the Perspective viewport).

ā€œCplaneā€ documentation:

Also, check the ā€œMplaneā€, because it’s quite useful for objects that you move and rotate subsequently.

You could pick the object and move along that as well, even press tab to constrain it.----Mark

Just what i needed to learn.
