In Rhino8 I have oriented an object to a 3d axis/line. However, the gumball does not allow me to slide the object along the axis. How do I set the XYZ of the object to that of the axis?
Check out CPlanes in the Rhino Help. Set a CPlane perpendicular to the axis curve, set your gumball to āAlign to CPlaneā, make your transformation, then replace the original CPlane (normally āWorld Topā for the Perspective viewport).
āCplaneā documentation:
Also, check the āMplaneā, because itās quite useful for objects that you move and rotate subsequently.
You could pick the object and move along that as well, even press tab to constrain it.----Mark
check _GumballRelocate
Just what i needed to learn.
