The plugin works on neither version6.9 nor version7.4,and I’m wondering what problem would be happened with my installation process
Hi -
Make sure to update to the latest versions by setting the update frequency to “Service Releases”.

oops!I forgot to unlock the plugin,no wonder@
thanks for your help!
Mesh Cage Morph is really powerful. It looks like it can only deform points or meshed objects (hence the use of the Deconstruct Mesh tool), not NURBS or other Breps, right?
Yes, the version shared here works on points.
It wouldn’t be too much trouble to make a new version which works as a general deformer and will take NURBS objects too though.
I’ll try and post an updated version next week.
*HI @DanielPiker What version should I install to get this component?Mesh Cage Morph2 in fattener *
Is it possible to You publish this fragmented plugin completely in the form of a morph mesh plugin in food4rhino
How can i go to smooth mesh from a fattened body? Like in the example above?

Having some issues with getting this to work, the dino worked no problem.
Any help at all would be appreciated!
Hi Benjamin,
You’d need to internalise the geometry inputs for me to look at your file.
(right click them and select ‘internalise’).
Alternatively you can post the Rhino file they are referenced from.
Here it is!
Thanks!

Are you baking the mesh into Rhino and referencing it in the group labelled “baked and modified”?
Here’s that working on your file:
Note that in this definition the Fattener part is used to generate the initial cage, but then to make deformations you move the vertices of the cage (not the vertices of the original skeleton, as that changes the cage topology).
It would certainly be nice to just modify the skeleton directly and have the deformation update, and I’ve done some other work in this direction, but that’s not what the definition above does.
I see, I assumed I could just modify the skeleton directly. Unfortunate that I cant.
I was going to make a fully rigged model to help me design an exoskeleton and set the limits for all of the joints with an excel spreadsheet I compiled from medical papers on standard joint ROM.
Maybe I need to just build it in blender and import it, which is unfortunate because I was going to submit it for a class on grasshopper.
Is there a tool besides cage morph that I could use with a more advanced script to adjust the base skeleton instead?
Thanks for the help!
Hi!
I’m getting an Error on my Mesh Cage Morph component that reads: 1. Solution exception:One or more errors occurred. (Index was outside the bounds of the array.) (Index was outside the bounds of the array.)
I’m trying to use a cage to morph a model of a body. I see this post has many replies so if the answer lays somewhere already, please link the aswer and sorry for the possible repetition.
Hi @Linus3
The calculate weightings has to be done once before it will give a result, so it may be that you just need to click on that button.
If that’s not it, you’ll need to post a file before I can tell what the problem is.
I’m both happy and extremely frustrated it was easy of a fix. Thank you for the quick reply.
Hi everyone,
I have downloaded the Fattener plug in from this site but that doesn’t work. I have put it in my library, i have a mac so no need to unlock security. And then when i close and re open rhino and grasshopper i cannot see and use it.
Does anybody knows how to fix it?
Thanks a lot !
