Simplifying offset curve help

Hi,

I am trying to offset a poly line (already simplified). I am not managing to get the same rectangle (4 vertex) in my offset curve. It adds 2 more vertex per corner. When I extrude that offset line I get a seam in a really simple extrusion. I tried to plug a simplify curve node to the offset node, but it is not working.
