When turning something into a block item, and repeating that item, strange things happen to it’s silhouette. Looks like the silhouette (of display mode) is calculated for one block and then repeated on the others:
Hm… thanks, I’ll take a look.
I see it…
Here it looks like there is always one goofy one and the others OK:
Still poking…

Perhaps include the silhouette in the block?
As long as the instance count isn’t too high, it might be okay.
[Please don’t tell anyone, but sometimes, on small projects, I include a profile curves in the block.
Though, usually, I use Work layers, like “Door Work,” to build things, and usually make them…blue.]
@Brenda I assume you are talking about something else here? This is about the silhouette in dynamic setting. So generating a static silhouette is not an option.
i wonder if MeshOutline does the same goofy stuff. if not and you have only straight lines like here or you dont need nurbs curves, then till this gets fixed it might be a workaround.
@pascal I noticed that if you have multiple instances, rotating one seems to affect the others and the last changed block-item seems to steer the others. You can clearly see this when rotating in a silhouette mode, the the silhouette of the other instances will rotate at the same time. Even just selecting one will change the others after this.
Thanks, Gijs. I’ve added that information to the YT item.
