Shrink wrap

I tried to shrink wrap this model to 3D print. does not like the surface

Hi Emmanuel -

Please post the 3dm file.
-wim

The following file has a surface discontinuity for zebra analysis. Also, I would
deck.3dm (19.6 MB)
like to know how to emboss the mirror in the canopy outward, and at the same time, draft analysis needs to be blue. Please refer to the video.
Also, shrink wrap does not work. I want to 3d print to a thickness of 2mm. Please share a video if you can while working on the file.

ShrinkWrap won’t wrap an infinitely thin surface which has no bounding volume. You’ll need to include the lower half of the shape and then ShrinkWrap.

Have a look at the tutorial here of the shoe last scan.

I require the shrink to be 0.1mm to get better accuracy. but the maximum I can reduce is 1.7mm.

2x or 4x scale (or whatever you want) the model, shrinkwrap at the min value allowed, then 2x or 4x shrink your model to get higher fidelity.

resolving this issue already has a tracking item associated with it, but for now that is the workaround.

The problem is you have gaps in your model that are larger than the edge length tolerance you’re entering. When this happens the shrinkwrap treats these as though they are infinitely thin surfaces.

You’ll need to either close the holes, cover them with other surfaces, or use an edge length that is longer than the gap so that the gap is ignored. The Shoe last tutorial I posted above is a good example of this.
