Show name of current CPlane?

For a separate CPlane issue, Dale kindly created a test plugin for me which shows the CPlane name in the bottom left of each viewport.

Caveats:

  • Unsupported
  • Tiny print
  • Works properly when using Standard CPlanes but not when using Universal CPlanes (this is because of a bug, RH-90543, where Rhino doesn’t update uplane names)
  • Rhino 8 and WIP only
  • Command name is TestJeremy

Unblock the downloaded RHP file and install in Rhino. Run the command to toggle visibility.

Very useful, because sometimes you need many construction planes, for example many ergonomic sections for an aircraft seat, or many UI elements on an input device. This has been a feature in other software for like for ever.
