Show Me how - Gumball

I’m having a bit of a time with using the gumball and the snaps to position something. It’s really frustrating.

Here’s the objects:

GumballTech.3dm (2.9 MB)

I create a an extrusion:

I rotate the objects: ( a 50% chance of the correct turn plus or minus)

Then I have the gumball in the orientation I want. I have to align lower edge of the horizontal member with the edge of the crossmember

That’s when it gets stupid, because I need to make sure it’s centered as well

What is the most efficient, accurate and quick way to do this?

Hello - I would use Move with the End and Perp osnaps. Not sure why you’d use gumball here.

It’s difficult and tedious to provide all the details when posting. Of course I use the snap function. I didn’t have perpendicular set on. I go for weeks not using the application and hence don’t stay in practice.

Thanks. I’d still like to have more control over the gumball tool’s orientation. ie having a relocated set remain until it’s no longer needed.
