I find this ground plane button in Rhino 9 Beta not ideal being all the way at the right of the panel.
Also in my opinion the checkmark would be preferred over the oblong mobile device style button.
This here is from Rhino 8
This is one of those things, where I as a user am asking myself: what did anyone at McNeel motivate to think this checkbox needed to be changed? How comes this is anywhere near the top of the hyrarchy of things to be “fixed” (to the worse imho)?
I don’t pretend to know for sure that there is no possible good reason for this, but I sure struggle to find it.
After thinking a bit more about it: this is probably an attempt to harmonize and systemize the Rhino UI which surely has its quirks and inconsistencies.
I just don’t feel that the solutions in these two cases are for the better
For curvature control and other analysis commands which remain live while using other modeling tools I can understand that the toogle button is seen as a reasonable solution.
I was trying to find where the slider toggle button is used in the UI…
At first, I didn’t understand what you meant until I explicitly searched the right side.
The mix of checkboxes and toggle button isn’t good anyways, it becomes worse when both styles live nearby.
