Shoe design - New user questions

I have not used Rhino before.

I hope to use it for shoe design.

I have the following initial questions, and I welcome any advice.

Questions:

  1. Extension packages
    a) What extension package(s) works best for you?
    Do you use more than one extension package?

b) Can the package provide flattening of shell (skin) of shoe for pattern cutting? How accurate is the flattening result?

  1. Where can I get standard footprint sizes and shoe last sizes?

  2. For 3D printing, how do I translate the design into a 3D printable shoe for touch and feel demo. Meaning I like to wear and walk the printed around and see how it feel before the next steps …
    Is there any special package that does that?
