Shift+Command using SubD is an ergonomic problem

Spending a lot of time using SubD tools in v8. I find that the constant need to press both shift and command (on Mac) for selecting points, faces, etc. is becoming an ergonomic problem. My thumb is now always sore from repetitive strain.

Can this function be assigned to another single key?
The repeated two-key process does not seem appropriate for a function that is used so constantly.

In the selection filter toolbar, check subobjects, that’ll allow you to have the Ctrl+shift behaviour without pressing it
