Shapediver: Organize models in folders

It would be great if we would get some much needed UX improvements in the Shapediver backend.

I feel like organizing the models in the backend is very rudimentary. Could we get folders to organize the models?

Also there are 2 views: the card view and the list view, both of which have some UX issues.

The card view in my opinion should be paginated like the list - having one as endless scroll and one paginated is confusing. Also add a way to change how many entries we see and show the page numbers.

I also find it strange that the options are different depending on the view. In card view you can:

Edit, Open App, Delete, Clear cache, Download and Bookmark

But then in list view you can do:

View the model, Edit the model, Open App, Delete the model, Clear cache, Download and Bookmark the model.

Why call it different things and add another option?

So lots of low hanging UX fruit. Thanks for considering!

ps: please consider using https://baymard.com/. They really have the largest and best archive of tested UX insights for pretty much all components in a UI. I used them extensively when I did UX for listing management, where we had very similar challenges to the Shapediver management of models.

Thank you for the recommendation. Having equivalent pagination strategies for both views makes sense.

Regarding the option, maybe I am missing something but aren’t they the same? The only missing one is “View the model”, which you can do by just clicking on the card in the card view. Are you suggesting to add it also as an option in the context menu?

No, I was only referring to the naming of the buttons/tooltips, which is different in both views. I think they should be the same.
