So in my rendered view my shadow is fine but in my raytraced view my shadow looks like my object is hoovering. I’ll move my object to the shadow in raytraced and it fits but as soon as i change the view to rendered and then back to raytraced my shadow has moved again to my object hoovering.
I’m fairly new to Rhino as a student so i’m just wondering if theres a setting I am missing to stop my shadow from moving in ray trace
Perhaps share a few example screenshots to illustrate what is going on. Or even a file that shows the issue.
Looks like a groundplane issue, maybe raytraced picks up an object or an artifact that rendered does not.
You can try this as a workaround:
Type Groundplane and set a fixed height.
