Shading of geometry in blockinstance different from geometry outside blockinstance

The shading of geometry inside a blockinstance is much dfarker than geometry outside blockinstances, even though they have the same display color. I expect the color to be displayed exactly the same. Once I explode the block, the resulting objects do show the expected color.

Hi Tim - it looks like there is a locked instance of that block someplace, maybe?

A non-blocked box would also display darker if locked, by default, but you can set that in the display mode to use the objects’ display attributes and not look locked.
