Seems like the gear icon for settings in Display Preferences is broken.
That button is there to restore display mode defaults.
I see there is no ToolTip like in 5.5, and probably should be.

This is a known issue. RH-48247 duplicates RH-48146. We just need to remove the gear button if I’m not mistaken to add a spot to import display modes from .ini files.
Then you’ll need a Windows Rhino like U/I control to reset defaults.
That should already be there, just at the top of the dialog.
That said, I think we do need a spot to import display mode .ini files. The gear button might be a good spot.
