I’m not necessarily disagreeing that it could be handy to have that there, but I can think of many other things that would make equally much sense. Since that area is somewhat limited, I’d say this would then call for some system where the user can completely define what is displayed in the status bar.

I wonder when you run into wishing to have that setting displayed on the status bar.
You don’t need to go to the Document Properties to set that for future annotations. When you create a new annotation, you will be asked which annotation style to use. At that point, the style that you pick becomes the current style.

Well there already is a (confusing) system to display info on the revolving display area (the one with memory usage, etc…). Maybe a similar, (but clearer) interface could be used to add more direct-access settings ?
It’s 2026. Any decent CAD monitor would have ample horizontal space to add much more direct-access settings.
