Selectively Ignore Grasshopper Plugin

I am wondering if there is a way to selectively ignore grasshopper plugins based on Rhino version.

I have a certain plugin that I want to load in Rhino 8 but not in Rhino 7.

I am aware of the GrasshopperIgnorePlugin command that places a .no6 file that makes the plugin ignored in both Rhino 8 and 7.
