Selective clipping of objects in a linked block

Hello,

I’m trying to selectively clip geometry in a linked block but after sub-object selecting the geometry the clipping plane won’t clip that geometry.
I’ve tried using selected layers instead, but again no luck.

Is selective clipping supposed to work with blocks or does it only work with basic unblocked geometry?

I see a number of related feature requests but none exactly like this.

This does appear to be a feature request but listing as bug to get attention.

Any update on this?
I would agree with its listing as a bug since the feature doesn’t work as expected with linked blocks.

We use linked blocks all the time and being able to selectively exclude geometry in a linked block would be a huge feature to have fixed.

Currently it is on the 9.x list, we’ll have to keep an eye on youtrack for an update. I get notifications and will post when we know more.
