Selecting the Curve for Tangency (Or Perpendicular)

Let’s say I have a circle with a line that ends at the circle. I want to draw a line tangent to the circle where the line intersects (or perpendicular).

Whenever I try to this, the cursor jumps to the line when it hits the intersection. How can I get it to stay on the circle to get a line tangent to the circle rather than a line tangent to the line?

Hello - Probably just using the Int rather than the End osnap will get it if you bias the mouse ever so slightly to the circle. To force it, use the OnCrv one-shot osnap
