Selecting multiple objects with the same geometry

Can you select multiple objects with the same geometry? For example, we have multiples of different objects, and we want to be able to click on one of the objects, and have rhino select others that have the exact same geometry, but do not occupy the exact same location. Seldup will not work, and there are reasons we do not want them on separate layers. Please see the attached image as an example.

Do you have any other sorting criteria?

One option would be to apply user text and select by key or value.

Hi Japhy. We are also trying not to use blocks.

Blocks would not be necessary with this method. You will need to come with an initial sorting criteria.
