Section Style Background Color missing in Vector Print ("Hidden" Mode)

Hello VisualARQ team,

I am writing to report an issue regarding Section Style Background Colors when printing to Vector output in Rhino 8.

The Issue: When I define a background color in the Section Style, it fails to print (appears transparent/empty) if I use the VisualARQ “Hidden” display mode with Vector Output. (Note: It prints correctly if I switch to Raster Output, but I need Vector lines for my workflow.)

Comparison with Native Modes: I have performed a comparison test to rule out a Rhino engine failure:

Rhino Native “Technical” & “Monochrome” Modes: The Section Style background color prints correctly in Vector output.

Technical

Monochrome

Since Rhino’s native Technical mode handles this correctly, it seems the issue is specific to how the VisualARQ “Hidden” display pipeline processes the section background for the vector engine.

Could you please investigate this and update the “Hidden” mode to support vector background color printing, similar to the native Technical mode?

Here are my software details:

  • Rhino 8 Version: [8 SR26]

  • VisualARQ Version: [3.8 RC2]

Thank you!
