ScriptEditor text selection square not visible in the dark mode

The GH ScriptEditor’s text selection square is not visible in the dark mode.

With my broken English:

My version:
Version 8 SR7
(8.7.24113.23001, 2024-04-22)

To confirm, i see the same issue. The red highlight seems to override the selection highlight

Another thing. The error message on the right is always clipped. I haven’t found a way to see the complete message

In the meantime if you click on the red X left of the line to close the error message then you will see the highlight.

The red highlight message on the right is the complete message. If it was truncated you’d see a ... suffix.

Complete error messages are also displayed in the “Problems” tab at the bottom.

Is this a hard thing to fix?

It shouldn’t be that hard I just haven’t gotten to it yet.

Is closing the error message as described above not an acceptable workaround in the meantime?
