I saw that the bug that occurred since Rhino 6 version, where vertical straight polylines were not displayed in the top view, was fixed in the additional update of version 8(RH-53520). but
If you select all vertical straight edges of surface & polysurface & subd (refer to attached image file), they are still not visible in the top view.
Also, the problem of not seeing the existing vertical curve occurred in Rhino 6, so do you know why it was only fixed in Rhino 8? If software worth close to $1,000 was sold for that amount while containing a fatal bug, I think the previous version in which the bug occurred should also be fixed. Just because the next version has been released, there is no consideration for users of the previous version. The reason is that buyers of the previous version ended up paying for a defective product but did not receive after-sales service. This is clearly not polite to consumers.
Because it’s not a “fatal” bug… Nobody died from it.
It is not actually considered as a “bug”- it was something that was simply not designed into the new display systems and whether it should be added back in is an ongoing discussion as far as I know.
