Scale1D without changing the texture mapping of an object?

Say I have a door for instance, and I want to use the Scale1D command it to make it a little wider. Is it possible for me to do so without changing the scale of the textures on it? So far, my workflow is that I use Scale1D and then I have to go back and adjust the texture mapping afterwards. It would be very convenient if I could cut out that last step somehow.

Yes, you can use WCS mapping to base the texture size on model units or in this case Planar mapping would work as well.
