Sawfish -> filtering polygons input

First is there anyone with sources about Sawfish code, how it works or other useful information.
I’m trying to create geomodic sphere structure, input for this that “works” in sawfish are set of closed polygons, triangles. Which you can create easily with geodesic dome (Parakeet), problem with this input is that each edge is double, because the triangles have their edges overlapping. This makes sawfish code create 2 beams, where there only should be one.

Anyone ideas on how filter the data, or other ideas?
