I need to save the layer states (on/off only), and am contemplating using the LayerStateManager vs Snapshots.
LSM outputs nice and tidy text files in Windows INI format. Just about perfect for what I need. I do, however, seem to remember a discussion around deprecating the LSM in R7 and relying on snapshots instead. Trouble is I can’t find the relevant post now. Will LSM continue to be maintained in future versions of R7 and beyond?
Alternatively, how would I save a snapshot? I find an Import (3DM) option, but no export functionality. Can this be done via a script?
