I’m totally confused. I am trying to save or export a very simple drawing, just a solid cylinder, as a .STL file in Rhino 4.0 SR9. For some reason all the save as or export as options are gone in the dialog box. Only the .3dm is available. I’ve done this many times in the past so I haven’t a clue what might be wrong.

PS; Also, I assume a registered 4.0 end-user can’t download the v6 beta?
I think the stl export plugin isn’t loaded in your v4. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Rhinoceros 4\Plug-ins and drag and drop all the rhp files there into a v4 viewport. Then try save as again.
A v4 license can’t be used to download the v6 beta to my knowledge… the other @brian may know more.
Correct, owners of the current version (5) of Rhino are invited to try out
the BETA version. When Rhino 6 ships, you’ll be able to use the evaluation
version to see if you want to upgrade.
