Not sure how I found this, but here’s a cool profile/interview with the head of the Japanese custom car body kit shop: TRA Rocket Bunny PANDEM, detailing how the founder, Miura-san, got started up to his current projects. Very interesting history with CNC/CAD, from bootstrapping a CNC system so old he had to find a way to fake punch-card printouts to run it to his discovery of the software he still uses to this day to make his awesome custom kits: Rhinoceros 3D (skip to about seven minutes, 27 seconds for the Rhino bit).
Really beautiful work from Miura-san and his team. I was delighted to discover the bit about Rhino and thought the profile was really well done. Great video.
