hi there. Has anyone else had a problem when trying to rotate a rendered object in snapshot by setting rotation angles on the gumball? I find the first three snapshots run in the circular direction I have set but the fouth reverses the direction to get to point 4. I have been in touch with rhino but they suggest I post a question on here.
Hi Carl -
If I understand correctly, this is a question about the animation between different snapshots?
There is no way to control the transition between different views. You’ll have to use the path or fly-through animation tools for that.

hi Wim,
Yes, in particular animating between revolved or turntable views with snapshots. Rhino themselves told me that they get the same problem. Are you saying that revolve snapshots in rhino animation do not work properly? In the end I used the turntable function in rhino 7 and captured it with the in built microsoft film recorder. (microsoft key+G) However I was interested in finding out about the snapshot problem. Carl.
snapshot is not an animation tool per se. It animates between views but that animation is fairly arbitrary with no controls for how it happens. if you need specific animations you’ll need to jump into something like bongo.
Hi Kyle,
Thank you for that. I do have bongo animation but while trying out snapshot discovered from Wim that is difficult for it to deal with an object turning 360 degrees. This may be useful information to other users.
