Rotating fattened polyline loop

I have a closed polyline loop, applied a fattener to it and converted the mesh to subD. For additional subD modeling I need the mesh faces to be horizontal and vertical and not rotated by 45 degrees.
Any ideas how this could be done would be very much appreciated!

thanks for the quick response and the hint to MultiPipe. In my case the edges at the corners should look like this:

If you’re after that topology specifically, it’s probably easiest to model it directly in Rhino

i´m just gettng into the fatten-component (recently swiched from 6 to 8) and think i will do the additional subD modelling with it.
