Rotate Leader Line in Rotated Top View in Layout Viewport

In a rotated top view in a Layout Viewport, I set leaders horizontal to view. The text turned out correctly, the leader line continued to point at the right thing, but the line from the leader to the note is still in unrotated view. How to make the Text and the Leader horizontal to view?

Hello - I guess the leader is in the 3d space, is that correct? Can it be in the Layout space?

I tried to redo it in the Layout Viewport, but I couldn’t redraw it orthogonal to the Layout Viewport. I have’t explored the Ortho settings yet to see if I can change that behavior.

Ewww boy, that really does not work well in Layout View.

Hi Fancois - can you post a file?

Will do, but need to reduce the file size first. Can’t do that right now …

I had a similar issue in the past. I was lucky in that I could just change my approach/workflow without any side effects. That won’t be the case for everyone.

I did whip the attachment quick - I think might provide a representation of the issue in lieu of the too-large file.

It’s worth a look in case it also contains what might be a solution. I don’t really rotate views. Instead I create a named CPlane (usually CPLane 3 points), set the view to “Plan”, and then save it as a “named view”.
