"Root Element is Missing"

Hello,

Everytime I open Rhino I get a message “Root Element is Missing”.

Ive read other threads with the same topic however nothing seems to resolve the problem and I have no clue what to do. Ive reset the toolbar, updated to the latest version of rhino, even reinstalled rhino, but I still get the error message upon startup. My Toolbars seem fine. Any thoughts?

It could be that a settings file is corrupted. If you go to %appdata%\McNeel\Rhinoceros\5.0\Plug-Ins you maybe see some plug-in related folders.

Each of these folders may contain a folder called “settings”. Delete these settings folders, or move them somewhere else to see if that solves the problem.

Menno you are a genius! That was exactly the problem. I had corrupted DIVA plugin settings that were causing the error so I just removed them. Rhino starts up clean once again! Thank you for taking the time to help me out!!
