Room Tag (number) parameter?

How do I get these custom parameters to show up? (Room Number, Dimension)

Am I doing something wrong here?

Tag parameter 1

Hi @Denzel_Hill You need to type the following syntax to display custom parameters in space labels: %<parameters[“parameter name”]>%.
So for the case of your “Dimensions” parameter, you should type: %<parameters[“Dimensions”]>%
I recommend taking a look at the VisualARQ help (vaHelp) for more examples:

Am I doing something wrong here? I am not given the option/dialogue boxes to insert the data into my custom parameters.

Check your brackets.

I got them to show up, now how do I get my labels to show up in “General” on my Toolbar to populate each room tag?

It doesn’t matter what category your parameter is. VA just skips categorization (and I think this is not very comfortable, tou cannot have parameters named the same way but placed in different categories - just like some IFC specification).
I have an IFC-ish room style, and it works:

As you can see, the parameter “Numer” is from the general category.

Hi @Denzel_Hill, the custom parameters are edited from the “Parameters” section in the Properties panel:

The custom parameters don’t appear in the Space Properties, so you can make a multiple selection of spaces and other objects, and assign common values from that “parameters” section.

The Category of a parameter is defined in the parameter properties dialog and they are just a way to classify the custom parameters and show them ordered in the properties panel.

I made the change, and it worked for one, but not the others…SHEESH. What is going on?

Do you mean the “Room Tag” parameter?
Check the label settings for that space style. What do you have in there?
