Roof Area Calculation in vaTable ignores subtracted solids

Luckily I caught this after a few days when my roof areas didn’t seem to be following my edits.

I’m still on Current Va 2 and Rhino7, will upgrade on the next project. Maybe this is fixed on va 3.

I wonder if areas are correctly tabulated on other va objects which may have been extended or had solids subtracted.

Hi @djhg the area of VisualARQ objects that had solids subtracted should be recalculated in tables. This works with VisualARQ 2 and VisualARQ 3. Make sure you update the table after any change on the 3D objects. If you have an example where this is not working, please send it over!

Thanks Francesc, but it’s not working for me. I suppose it’s incorporating the subtractions in the volume but it calculates the areas of both roofs in the image and project attached below as if there are no subtractions. Maybe I’ve inadvertently triggered an option to exclude subtractions? I wonder if I need to check to see if it’s calculating slabs correctly on the six projects I am working on:

Hi @djhg you are right, that’s not working in your file. I’ll report that.

Hi @djhg We have fixed this error in VisualARQ 3.7 RC1: VisualARQ 3 - Version 3.7 RC1 released

Great thanks Francesc.
