Roll Paper 1:1 Continuous Print

Hi all,

I have an EPSON Stylus Pro 9800 printer with rolls of A1 paper, and I’m looking to do some 1:1 prints to use as templates to cut around. I do all the CAD in Rhino7, and I know how to print 1:1 on a normal sheet of A1 (setting the print window to a 594mm x 841mm rectangle and fitting the desired print within those dimensions and then selecting 1:1 scaling), however, I want to try and print something within the A1 width, but longer than the A1 length, aka have the roll of paper just keep rolling.

I tried turning off the auto cut option and then just printing out what was effectively 2x A1 sheets back to back, but there was a gap left between the two which required me to take a pair of scissors to it which kind of defeats the whole point.

TLDR: Has anyone got any idea how to print something 1:1 at a fixed width but with a variable length using roll paper?

Hi Jack -

But what you are printing is actually limited in size.
You can create a custom sized paper with the A1 width and the length that is necessary.

Hi Wim, thanks for the response.

I understand that, but how do I go about doing that exactly? I tried the User Defined option but I can’t see anywhere to input the width and length.

Ah, ignore my previous comment, I found it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
