RIR Revit 2026 Install Issue

Getting the following error after installing Version 1.32 for Revit 2026 for Rhino Inside Revit

Unsure if something is missing or i need to move a to an earlier version?

Sending you the latest build privately.

Hi @Japhy I’m experiencing the same issue on v1.34.9439.19982 and R2026.4. Is there a specific build that we should be using?

Here is the latest build. Let us know if this isn’t working for you and we’ll troubleshoot. Thanks!

We’re using version 1.35.9525.16240 and are still getting the failed to find opennurbs_private.manifest file in revit folder

Hi Leon, Try a repair install. (go to Add and Remove Programs and right click on the Rhino.Inside.Revit > modify > Repair), uninstall / reinstall has been known to resolve this as well.

Hey @Japhy, we’re also running into this issue with the latest version of Rhino Inside (1.35.9525.16240) being installed for Revit 2026 (26.4.0.32 | 20251103_1515(x64) | 2026.4).

Hi Mario,

Do a repair of the Rhino.Inside.Revit install, or a full uninstall and reinstall usually clears it up.

We’re actually prepping RiR for release for our firm and repairing installs for each staff member is somewhat infeasible. This is coming from a fresh install of both Revit and RiR in a sanitized environment. If that is the only solution then sadly, we’ll need to postpone the rollout and RiR usage until a more appropriate fix is done.

This is supposed to work but getting several reports. I’m going to reach out to some of the past reports to see how/if they resolved it.

What deployment software are you using?

Is this only happening in Revit 2026?

We use Intune to create our deployments and Company Portal to push it to our designers.
Yes, so far, we’re only experiencing this in 2026. 2025 is okay.

This has been an issue since January 2026 for us as well. Support hasn’t been able to really give anything outside of, ā€œuninstall/reinstallā€ recommendations nothings worked other than manually installing it using a local admin account. Even the most recent version of 1.35.9540.6370 this is happening in Revit 2026.3. It’s not efficient by any means but as of today, I’ve not received any resolution that works with this deployment.

Hi @Chris67,

How do you deploy Rhino on these computers?
Aren’t your running the .msi on each computer with admin rights?
The Rhino.Inside installer also needs to run with admin rights to copy a file on Revit folder.

With Intune, we are wrapping the RhinoInside.Revit_1.35.9540.6370.msi with the IntuneWinAppUtil.exe to get the .intunewin file and loading it within Intune. This prepopulates the Install and Uninstall Commands with the default parameters of ALLUSERS=1 /qn.

This also locks the Install Behavior as ā€œSystemā€.
It shows installed for Revit 2024 but I get the ā€œFailed to find ā€˜opennurbs_private.manifest’ file in Revit folderā€ error for Revit 2026.3.

@Chris67, does the destination computer have this registry key pointing to the expected path?

Here is where RiR installer will copy this file.
This registry key is usually created by Revit 2026 at install time.
Could you please check if is there?

It is present but for the 1.8 version.

Could you check if on a failing installation the opennurbs_private.manifest file is under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Components\2026\1.8.0 after deployment?

It is present as well.

Within the 1.8.0 folder there are 352 items of files and folders.

I see, it is not inside the 1.8.0 folder, but next to it, right?

Correct, it is within the 2026 folder and not in the 1.8.0 folder. Within the 1.8.0 folder there is an opennurbs.dll, the only ā€œopenā€ file name in it.
