The video clip in this topic needs a delay showing the state after completion for at least a few seconds so the user can see what the command did. Right now it cycles to repeat immediately after the operation completes.
I think this is a browser / auto play problem. What’s the benefit of looping the video?
If a user wants to watch it again, press play…
I agree. The issue is that the final position of the objects is shown for just a few milliseconds. Extending the video would be one solution, so would removing the looping.
Those videos were made around 2007 with swf (Flash) format. They were converted to mp4 in Rhino 5 because Windows stopped supporting Flash player for security issues. Some frames were dropped when converting swf to mp4.
I fixed the Orient3Pt topic with a new GIF image.
I’ll make those old mp4 videos stop at the end and not to auto-play. Thank you.
Thanks for the info. I think GIF is a bit outdated and mp4 is overall more useful and has better color.
Very nice! Thanks.
The limitation of 256 colors for GIF is not obvious in most cases. Basically, everywhere accepting JPG accepts GIF. I can insert GIF to a Google DOC, but not MP4. I still use MP4 in help topics when the file size of GIF is too large like 2MB+. Thank you for your advice.
