Rhino8 fails to start

Starting Rhino8 is halted during loading. A message is stating that loading of Orca 3D rhp is prohibiting the process. I am not using Orca3D with Rhino8; Orca 3D is used whilst using Rhino7.
This problem occurred recently, in the past Rhio8 started without any problem.

Have you tried starting Rhino 8 in safe mode and then disabling Orca3D in the PluginManager?

That is what I have tried (no success). I have started the program in the mode as “administrator” with same result.

If Rhino is not starting in safe mode you may need to repair your Rhino install or even your microsoft redistributables (there have been a few cases where the last windows update caused some issues in this regard)

Does Rhino start if you add the /netfx flag to the Rhino 8 start shortcut?
