Using the latest Rhino with the AMD FirePro W9100 16GB card, the card is AMD’s best which costs around $3.5K, using the latest drivers from AMD’s website, simple tasks lag and are slow, what is the reason for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
There should be no reason unless your file is buggy (bad objects/lots of objects) or if OpenGL is turned off, so just check your Rhino settings.
I used to have a V7900 (it collects dust now) and it was very fast. Faster than the Quadro 4000. There were issues with the drivers from time to time, so you can consider downgrading if you have the latest.
