just an idea, for users of Rhino wip..
Why not have it save in duel formats while in wip phase I.e save as rhino9 wip and Rhino 8 at the same time, creating two files together?
In this way, it will allow the use of wip features and no issues if it breaks..

Hi Adrian -
There are applications that you can use to convert .3dm files between different versions.
The Rhino WIP adds things to the file that previous versions cannot read, so there will always be issues when it breaks.
