Rhino 9 now supports font kerning and line spacing scale to help position text. This can be found in the Text command as well as in properties for modifying annotation styles.
During the first use the writing box was not visible which is confusing but afterwards writing area stayed visible.
Hi Wolf -
Is this something that is reproducible on your end? For example, does that happen every time you restart Rhino?
-wim
Non, only during the first use. I’ve restarted Rhino WIP and the field was visible with two lines.
Would it be also possible to include features like subscript?
Ideally even LaTeX Syntax?
Subscript and superscript are being worked on. The user interface control we currently have for inputting text is promblematic for supporting features like this and we have to investigate alternatives.
Thanks a lot!!!
This could be a game changer for scientific visualizations…
I haven’t had a chance to give Rhino 9 a spin yet, does this address the issue of tab adding a set amount of space, rather than aligning text across lines? (preventing, for example, a revision schedule from being made in one text box)
Also, any plans for adding a text table tool?
Or MarkDown
Not exactly, but @Alain is actively working on tab support in Rhino 9 as well as number and bullet lists. We just don’t have it available quite yet in the WIP.
This one has been on the list for a while. We do hope to add a new table object at some point, but it is difficult at the moment to tell you when this would happen. It is a very large project and may need to span several versions of Rhino to properly implement.
Yes, tabs will align across lines.
